Homecoming Alumnae Events!

Being that our chapter is based in Columbia, home to the University of Missouri and Phi Mu's Chi collegiate chapter, many of our alumnae are from Mizzou — and many were excited to celebrate the University's 100th Homecoming!

To commemorate both the milestone Homecoming and the 10th anniversary of Chi chapter's recolonization at Mizzou, our alumnae chapter hosted an alumnae happy hour and an alumnae brunch during Homecoming weekend!

On Friday night, about 50 Phi Mu sisters mingled during happy hour at Boone Tavern in downtown Columbia. Then on Saturday morning, both Phi Mu alumnae and actives (well over 100 people) gathered at Chi's chapter house for a ceremony (including some wonderful speeches about the beginnings of Chi chapter) and brunch.

Chi's current president, Abigail Schwerer, introduced the event. Nicole (Moore) White, Chi president from 2002 to 2003, and charter member Sara Farmer shared their early Chi memories. Our alumnae chapter president, Julianne (O'Bannon) Germinder, spoke about alumnae involvement. Guests were treated to a slideshow of photos from Phi Mu sisters past and present. Our alumnae chapter also sold photo books at the event to raise money for a commemorative tree planting.

It was great to catch up with our sisters and celebrate Chi's sisterhood, which is growing ever stronger. We welcomed all alumnae in our chapter, regardless of Chi affiliation, to join us in our Homecoming activities.

Here are some photos from the weekend:
